Why Cap City?

Since 2004, the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon has been the choice for thousands of runners and walkers, showcasing the City of Columbus and its diverse neighborhoods and entertainment districts to runners and walkers from all over the region. Each year, Cap City hosts more than 12,000 runners and walkers, plus spectators and volunteers. The annual economic impact is estimated at $7.5 million.

Voted one of the Top Half Marathons in the U.S. by USA Today two years in a row, Cap City brings together runners, walkers, spectators, and volunteers to celebrate health, fitness, and the incredible Columbus community.

The OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon also has a long-standing commitment to the charitable community and will continue to benefit the OhioHealth Foundation. Proceeds raised for the OhioHealth Foundation will go towards advancing its mission to provide exceptional care for all.
