Cap City: The Best Tour of Columbus
If you want to experience Columbus at its best — vibrant neighborhoods, iconic landmarks and nonstop energy — the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon delivers it all. Known as the Best Tour of Columbus, Cap City is more than a race. It’s a citywide celebration that showcases the spirit of the capital city from start to finish.
The Start Line at John F. Wolfe Commons
Your experience begins at the Start Line at the John F. Wolfe Commons. Founded in 2011, The Commons hosts more than 200 community events each year, including the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon. Enjoy music and all the pre-race accommodations in a convenient location — making it a perfect kickoff and celebration spot for Cap City.

Through the Historic German Village

Back through Downtown, heading towards the Finish Line
As the course turns back toward downtown, runners & walkers are treated to even more iconic Columbus landmarks, including a pass by the Ohio Statehouse, the iconic North Market and Nationwide Arena — home of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Course Fact: The Statehouse was built in 1861, the North Market is Columbus’ only true public market since 1876 and the Nationwide Arena & the Columbus Blue Jackets are celebrating 25 years.
