Featured Runner: Jamie Miles
The OhioHealth Emerald City Quarter Marathon in 2010. Her mom and aunt were in town and she decided to walk it with them.
The cheering from random strangers, the music, the fanfare at that race led her to believe she "needed to see more finish lines in her life"! She started running in her neighborhood a week later and could make it 4 driveways before she had to walk. Her long-term goal? Make it 5 miles. She did it at the M3S Buckeye Classic 10k a few months later.
Shortly after, Jamie started wishing that a free running group existed, where she could have flexible running buddies with her husband's unpredictable work schedule. In March of 2012, MRTT fell into her lap and she's now the leader of over 3,000 Columbus MRTT members, who you'll often see crushing miles at 5am before the rest of the world is awake.
