I am signed up as a Diamond Cellar VIP Experience member for the 2020 OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon. Now that the race is virtual, what is my next step?
As a Diamond Cellar VIP Experience member, we will automatically include you in this year’s virtual event AND defer your Diamond Cellar VIP Experience entry into the 2021 OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon. So you will get two experiences for the price of one: virtual event in 2020 and a complete VIP Experience in 2021.
Will I get my VIP Jacket this year?
No. We will save that for next year. You will receive your Race Bib, Official Event Shirt, Official Finisher’s Medal and a Goody Bag full of special offers and promotions.
What do I need to do to register for 2021?
Nothing! We will take care of all the next steps for you, including signing you up for 2021. Please look for e-mails with additional information about this year’s virtual event and for a confirmation e-mail for 2021 entry.
OK, I am excited for this year. What is a virtual race?
A virtual race allows participants to complete their OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon, OhioHealth Quarter Marathon or 10TV Commit To Be Fit 5K anywhere on the weekend of August 28-30.
You can run your selected distance -- 13.1 miles, 6.55 miles or 3.1 miles -- anywhere, be it around your neighborhood, on your favorite running trail or even on a treadmill.
When is Packet Pick Up?
Packet Pick Up for the OhioHealth Emerald City Half & Quarter Marathon and the OhioHealth Capital City Half & Quarter Marathon will be held August 16-23, 2020 at Fleet Feet Sports Columbus in Lewis Center. Those who can’t make it to Packet Pick Up can e-mail info@m3ssports.com to make arrangements for Packet Mailing.
I am not sure where to complete my run or walk. Any suggestions?
In the coming weeks, we will post Byers Auto Virtual Course Maps that feature Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K courses through Central Ohio, including courses in Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks and Columbus City Parks.
How do I post my results?
After the event, you can post your results and upload photos. Stay tuned for link. You can also check out the Virtual Leaderboard and download your branded photos to post on social media.
