10TV's Jeff Hogan Named Honorary Race Director of 12th Annual OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon
Columbus television personality Jeff Hogan, spokesman for the popular 10TV Commit To Be Fit program, has been named the honorary race director of the 12th Annual OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon.
Hogan, who has been on the air at 10TV since 1998, anchors the 10TV News morning newscasts beginning daily at 4:25 a.m.
Hogan has been a major supporter of the Capital City Half Marathon, which includes the 10TV Commit To Be Fit 5K, and other M3S Sports since he became the face of Commit To Be Fit in May 2012.
10TV Commit To Be Fit has a goal of empowering Central Ohio residents to exercise healthy, eat healthy and encourage healthy through a variety of programs and initiatives.
“I am honored to be selected as honorary race director of the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon,” Hogan said. “Commit To Be Fit strives to get people to live healthier, and no event in our community embodies and spreads that message better than the Capital City Half Marathon.”
Hogan regularly appears at the Start Line and Finish Line of the Capital City Half Marathon, Ohio State Four-Miler, Flying Feather Four-Miler and other events. This year, he co-hosted the NHL All-Star 5K with Race Director David Babner.
“Our motto at M3S Sports to live an Active and Healthy Lifestyle and there is no bigger advocate of that message than Jeff Hogan,” Babner said. “Jeff is a marathoner, triathlete and has even done ultra-marathons.
“What I like best about Jeff is when he appears at our events, he jumps in and participates — then after he finishes, stays and high-fives finishers until the last participant crosses the Finish Line.”
The OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon has featured the 10TV Commit To Be Fit 5K since its inception in 2004. Former 10TV personality Andrea Cambern played major role in the growth of Cap City and served as honorary race director in 2012. The Pátron Quarter Marathon was added in 2011.
Hogan will appear at the Mayors VIP Reception and Panel of Champions events on Thursday, April 30 during the OhioHealth Health & Fitness Celebration and then appear at the Start Line and Finish Line of the Capital City Half Marathon on Saturday, May 2.
